ebase Enterprise: CMS Review

HOME

We don't want to reinvent the wheel. We're investigating the following content managment systems (CMS) to determine if they would be appropriate "bases" on which to graft the ebase data model. In other words, we'd rather create a specialized module for an existing CMS than have to create both pieces.

Once we get close to comfortable with one of these platforms, we'll setup a wiki to collect input on your experiences/observations.

  • OpenACS
  • Tcl/TK, AOL-Server, PostGres based. Fast. Lots of modules.

    EZPublish

    PHP, MySQL, Apache. Well integrated.

    Plone

Zope (or Apache), Python. Uses Zope's Content Management Framework. Lots of advocates.

  • PHP-Nuke
  • PHP, MySQL, Apache.

  • Drupal
  • PHP, MySQL/PostGres/Oracle, Apache. Nice traffic analysis features. Distributed authentication.
